The ovulatory phase is the phase in a women’s cycle where we are at our peak fertility and an egg is released.
Again, if we look to the moon, many of us will ovulate when the moon is full (if we’re not on birth control). During your ovulatory phase, it is time to focus on doing. Now is the time where women are most verbal, confident, and in touch with the depth of power held in the pelvis. Say yes to opportunity, ask for the raise you deserve, and have the conversation with your partner that you’ve been avoiding.
Physically, you’ll be feeling strong. Your estrogen levels peak during this time and so you’re metabolizing carbs better. It’s a good time to go for your personal best in your sport, or at the gym, or to simply take longer and more strenuous walks. You can support your sensuality by eating delicious, sensually-stimulating foods.
At work and at home, continue going out and spending time with the people you love. Enjoy the extra boost of positive energy and self-confidence.
If you have mid-cycle ovulatory pain, irregular cycles, you’re not ovulating, or are experiencing a lack of fertile cervical fluid, it might be a sign of an imbalance. Damiana, shatavari, peony, and licorice root can be great allies for ovulatory issues. It is best to consult with a trained practitioner or herbalist before starting an herbal regimen.
